SaltFork Hunts Deer Hunting Regulations

In order to provide the best possible hunting experience and to protect the natural resources of the ranch, the following guidelines have been provided:

    Saltfork Hunts Deer Hunting Regulations

    1.No trash of any kind to be left in the hunting areas. What you take in you must take out!
    2.No smoking on the ranch while hunting, we have extreme fire risk.
    3.Once on your assigned stand do not walk about your hunting area and leave at a prearranged time.
    4.Predetermined routes into and out of the hunting areas are to be used to minimize human scent.
    5.All human waste is to be buried in the sand.
    6.All deer killed will be retrieved and field dressed for you. Retrieval will be after 11am and after dark as not to interfere with other hunters in the area.
    7.If you make an evening kill mark the deer with a light to aid recovery.
    8.No other 4 wheelers will be allowed on the ranch.
    9.Fences are to be crossed by crawling under-do not climb over.
    10.Park vehicles only in areas designated.
    11.If a gate is open leave it open and if the gate is closed leave it closed.
    12.Know your target! We have cattle and they will be expensive and do not make a good mount.
    13.Know the location of each member of your hunting party-be safe.
    14.No alcoholic beverages will be allowed in the hunting areas of the ranch at any time. Any alcohol violation will result in the entire hunting group being asked to leave and hunting fees forfeited.
    15.All rifles used must be at least a 25 caliber with a minimum of 100 grain bullet weight. Rifles must be sighted in at the Saltfork shooting range with at least 3 shots prior to hunting.
